Periventricular white matter hyperintensities and functional decline

Dhamoon MS, et al. - This large population-based study was performed to investigate whether white matter hyperintensity volume (WMHV) in particular brain regions was more predictive of functional decline. The authors concluded that periventricular WMHV was particularly correlated with accelerated functional decline.
