Periodontitis and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, a population based cohort investigation in the Study of Health in Pomerania

Akinkugbe AA, et al. – The current study was interested in exploring epidemiologic relationships between periodontitis and the incidence of non–alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) among 2,623 members of the Study of Health in Pomerania. Results of this study suggested that history of periodontitis could be a risk factor for NAFLD.
