Periodontal manifestations of Ehlers-Danlos syndromes. A systematic review

Kapferer–Seebacher I, et al. – The aim of this study was to present a systematic review evaluating the spectrum of periodontal abnormalities in all Ehlers–Danlos syndromes (EDS) subtypes. The authors suggested that early severe periodontitis is the hallmark of periodontal EDS (pEDS), however, no evidence was found that it is part of the clinical phenotype of other EDS–subtypes. They noted that stringent analyses of periodontal manifestations in most EDS subtypes were missing.
