Peri-implant tissues and patient satisfaction after treatment of vertically augmented atrophic posterior mandibles with intraoral onlay block bone grafts: A retrospective 3-year case series follow-up study
The International Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Implants Feb 01, 2018
Aloy-Prosper A, et al. - This study was conducted to assess the patient satisfaction and the peri-implant soft and hard tissues of dental implants placed in vertically regenerated posterior mandibles with intraoral onlay block bone grafts over a follow-up of 3 years. A high patient satisfaction and good soft tissue levels of the implants in vertically augmented posterior mandibular areas with intraoral onlay block bone grafts were seen by the researchers. However, 1/5th of the patients manifested a statistically significant marginal bone loss, but no implants were lost at 3 years postloading.
