Vohra F, et al. - The clinical and radiographic peri-implant inflammatory parameters were compared in patients with different levels of obesity and these parameters were correlated with C-reactive protein (CRP) levels. Among patients with severe form of obesity, clinical and radiographic peri-implant inflammatory parameters and serum CRP were significantly high. In obese patients, serum CRP levels correlated with peri-implant bleeding. These findings were preliminary and long-term controlled trials were recommended to support these outcomes.
