Participation in a scientific pre-university program and medical students’ interest in an academic career

de Leng WE, et al. - The objective of this study was to evaluate the impact of a Scientific pre-university program (SPUP) on medical students’ research interest. The findings from the present study suggested that a research program prior to medical school might positively impact research interest among medical students and could offer an additional solution to the shortage of clinician-scientists.
