Medina A, et al. - In this subgroup analysis of the Hokusai-VTE study comparing efficacy and safety of edoxaban with warfarin in patients with acute venous thromboembolism (VTE), researchers reported that most outpatients presented with symptomatic deep-vein thrombosis (DVT), and in these subjects, efficacy, as well as safety of initial heparin followed by edoxaban, was similar to that of standard therapy with heparin and warfarin.
