Kupsch J, et al. - This research encompassed a quantification of the anorectal dysfunction after treatment for rectal cancer via the low anterior resection syndrome (LARS) score. A significant proportion of patients were detected after surgery for rectal cancer with anorectal dysfunction through the LARS score. It was deduced that the extent of surgical procedure was independently related to the severity of symptoms
