Zarkadis NJ, et al. - An expected value decision analysis was performed to compare open reduction–internal fixation (ORIF) and intramedullary nailing (IMN) as treatment options for acute traumatic operative humeral shaft fractures. As per patients' outcome preferences, ORIF was favored over IMN as the optimal treatment decision for an acute traumatic humeral shaft fracture.
