One normal void and residual following MUS surgery is all that is necessary in most patients

International Urogynecology Journal Sep 08, 2017

Ballard P, et al. - A retrospective study is carried out to assess the probability of an abnormal second V&R test if the first V&R test was normal in order to figure out whether a policy of discharge after only one satisfactory V&R test is reasonable. Based on these outcomes, the findings in the MUS-only group indicate that it is probably safe to discharge patients after one satisfactory V&R test, as long as safety measures such as ‘open access’ are available so that patients have unhindered readmission if problems arise.
