Night-time blood pressure and pulse wave velocity in dialysis patients

Li X, et al. – The risk factors of carotid–femoral pulse wave velocity (cfPWV) and the associations between ambulatory blood pressure, especially night–time blood pressure (BP) and cfPWV were appraised in this study. Rather than day–time blood pressure, ambulatory BPs were potent associates of cfPWV and night–time systolic BP. The view that controlling of nocturnal hypertension provided a unique cardiovascular protection effect, was supported in this work.
