Mucus hypersecretion in asthma is associated with rhinosinusitis, polyps and exacerbations

Martínez-Rivera C, et al. - This study was undertaken to unveil the specific characteristics of asthmatics with bronchial hypersecretion. Findings revealed that asthmatics were frequently detected as having mucus hypersecretion, which was shown to be related to chronic upper airways disease, airway obstruction, poor asthma control and more exacerbations in these subjects.
