Modified York Mason technique for repair of iatrogenic recto-urinary fistula: 20 years of the Montsouris experience

Bergerat S, et al. - Herein, the experts presented their results of updated 20-year experience in the surgical management of recto-urinary fistula using a modified York Mason procedure. For the repair of small iatrogenic recto-urinary fistulas in non-irradiated patients, modified York Mason technique was noted to be a reliable and efficacious procedure with a 100% success rate. Findings revealed that it had a very low morbidity rate without any cases of postoperative urine or fecal incontinence.
