Moderate hypofractionated radiotherapy after prostatectomy for cancer patients: Toxicity and clinical outcome
Cancer Management and Research Mar 22, 2018
Barra S, et al. - The acute and late toxicities associated with hypofractionated radiotherapy (RT) were determined and the effect of the addition of hormonal therapy (HT) to RT in high-risk prostate cancer (PC) patients on overall response and toxicity was evaluated. The toxicity profile of hypofractionated RT was acceptable. Hypofractionated RT contributed to achieve a high overall survival in patients with PC undergoing radical prostatectomy (RP). Good tolerability and efficacy of the combination of RT and HT were also demonstrated.
