Management of large renal stones: Laparoscopic pyelolithotomy versus percutaneous nephrolithotomy

Bai Y, et al. - Laparoscopic pyelolithotomy (LPL) and percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) were compared, regarding their efficacy and safety for the management of large renal pelvic stones. For management of patients with large renal stones, LPL was a safe and effective approach. On the other hand, results suggested that PCNL still suitable for most cases and LPL could be used as an alternative management procedure with a good selection of cases.
