Lysyl oxidase and adipose tissue dysfunction

Pastel E, et al. - The experts undertook this study to provide a comprehensive characterization of lysyl oxidase (LOX) in human adipose tissue (AT). The outcomes confirmed that LOX was increased by hypoxia and inflammation as the underlying mechanism for its upregulation in adipose tissue with obesity, whilst LOX could not be affected by obesity-associated complications such as diabetes.
