Loss of the protein cystathionine β-synthase during kidney injury promotes renal tubulointerstitial fibrosis

Yuan X, et al. – The potential role and mechanism of cystathionine β–synthase (CBS) were gauged in renal inflammation and tubulointerstitial fibrosis (TIF). In this study, experts established CBS as a novel inhibitor in renal fibrosis and as a new therapeutic target in patients with chronic kidney disease.
