Thompson LE, et al. - Researchers sought to assess 1-year survival trends overall and by rhythm after in-hospital cardiac arrest (IHCA). Among Medicare beneficiaries in the GWTG-R (Get With The Guidelines-Resuscitation) registry, an increase in 1-year survival for over the past decade after IHCA was observed. They noticed temporal improvements in survival for both shockable and non-shockable presenting arrest rhythms.
