Mebazaa A, et al. - This study appraised intravenous cardiovascular agentsÂvasodilators, inotropes and/or vasopressors for long-term safety in the treatment of patients with acute heart failure (AHF). Findings showed no association of vasodilators with long-term clinical outcomes, while a relationship was evident, of inotropes and/or vasopressors to increased risk of all-cause death, mostly related to excess of in-hospital mortality in AHF.
