Long term outcomes of a titanium-encased ceramic liner total hip arthroplasty (15-21 year results)
Journal of Arthroplasty Jun 26, 2021
Fernández-Fernández R, et al. - The present study was conducted to evaluate long term outcomes of a titanium-encased ceramic liner total hip arthroplasty (15-21 year results). Researchers included 94 hips in 77 patients who received an uncemented acetabular component with ceramic on ceramic bearing and patients were prospectively followed over 15 years. According to the findings, acetabular component indicates a favourable clinical and radiological outcome with over 15 years follow-up. It has been reported that osteolysis was not found and incomplete seating of the titanium-sleeved ceramic liner did not lead to mechanical problems.
