Local anesthesia effects on postoperative pain after pediatric oral rehabilitation under general anesthesia
Pediatric Dentistry Jul 08, 2019
Moness Ali AM, et al. - After pediatric oral rehabilitation under general anesthesia (ORGA), researchers examined the impacts of local anesthesia on postoperative pain. For this investigation, 96 healthy pediatric dental patients undergoing ORGA were allocated equally into two main groups. Only restorative treatment was indicated in group one and dental restoration and extraction were performed in group two. Using a universal pain assessment tool, 7 pain scores were recorded for each patient. The use of local anesthesia in pediatric dental patients undergoing oral rehabilitation under general anesthesia did not have any effect on postoperative pain decline within the constraints of this research.
