Lateral extra-articular tenodesis has no effect in knees with isolated anterior cruciate ligament injury
Arthroscopy Oct 31, 2017
Herbst E, et al. - This study aimed at investigating knee kinematics in response to physical examinations to determine the effect of anterolateral capsular injury and lateral extra-articular tenodesis (LET) in anterior cruciate ligament (ACL)Âdeficient and Âreconstructed knees. Reduction in anterior tibial translation and internal tibial rotation in response to different physical examinations was observed with ACL reconstruction in combination with a LET. However, when the anterolateral capsule was intact, combined ACL reconstruction and LET resulted in overconstraint of internal tibial rotation.
