Baltzer PAT, et al. - Whether or not breast MRI can serve as an additional diagnostic tool to distinguish benign from malignant lesions was determined. To accurately distinguish benign from malignant mammographic microcalcifications, breast MRI can be used as an additional diagnostic tool, and ultimately reduce unnecessary breast biopsies.
