Interferential current sensory stimulation, through the neck skin, improves airway defense and oral nutrition intake in patients with dysphagia: A double-blind randomized controlled trial

Maeda K, et al. - Using interferential current, the effect of transcutaneous electrical sensory stimulation (TESS) in patients undergoing dysphagia rehabilitation was investigated. In patients suffering from dysphagia, TESS improved airway defense and nutrition, using interferential current through the neck.
