Yuan H, et al. - The impact of involvement of the infrahyoid neck space on the management of non-odontogenic deep neck infection (DNI) was investigated by the authors. In the management of DNI, infrahyoid involvement ought to be regarded as a high-risk factor. For DNI with infrahyoid involvement, a relatively aggressive plan that included transcervical surgery and tracheostomy ought to be considered at earlier stages.
