Inflammatory bowel disease and risk of Parkinson's disease in Medicare beneficiaries

Camacho-Soto A, et al. - During this study, experts inspected the association between Parkinson's disease (PD) risk and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and IBD-associated conditions and treatment. An inverse link was disclosed between PD with IBD and with both Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. The inference drawn was that IBD was related to a lower risk of developing PD.
