Increased risk of diabetes development in individuals with weight cycling over 4 years: The Kangbuk Samsung Health Study

Rhee EJ, et al. - The purpose herein was to inspect the risk for diabetes development in association with weight cycling over 4 years of follow-up in a health screening program. A markedly greater risk for diabetes development was discovered among individuals with a high average successive variability of weight (ASVW) compared with those who had low ASVW. A prominent correlation was brought to light between weight cycling with increased risk for diabetes.
