Sonnenberg A, et al. - This study was performed to examine whether gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) represented a risk factor for the occurrence of colon polyps. The risk factor for the occurrence of different colon polyps, like hyperplastic polyps (HP), tubular adenomas (TA), or sessile serrated adenomas/polyps (SSA/P) was GERD (all types).
