Increased neutrophil–lymphocyte ratio in delirium: A pilot study

Egberts A, et al. – Researchers assessed the levels of the neutrophil–lymphocyte ratio (NLR) among patients with and without delirium and reported that those who had delirium, exhibited increased NLR levels. This finding might suggest that an inadequate response of the immune system and oxidative stress possibly play a role in the pathogenesis of delirium.
