Increased MYC copy number is an independent prognostic factor in patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma

Modern Pathology Aug 09, 2017

Quesada AE, et al. – This trial involved the study of the prognostic significance of extra copies of MYC, BCL2, or BCL6, in patients with diffuse large B–cell lymphoma. It was observed that intensive induction chemotherapy regimens improved the overall survival of patients with double or triple extra copy lymphoma. However, no significant improvement was noted of the overall survival in patients with MYC–R tumors. MYC extra copy in diffuse large B–cell lymphoma served as an independent poor prognostic factor, similar to MYC rearrangement.
