Incidence and risk factors for perianal disease in pediatric Crohn's disease patients followed in CEDATA-GPGE registry

Bruckner A, et al. - This study encompassed an examination of the prevalence, incidence and risk factors for the development of perianal disease (PD) in patients with Crohn's disease (CD). It was estimated that nearly 10% of CD patients presented with PD within the first 3 years of their disease. A correlation was determined between male sex and initial corticosteroid therapy with an increased risk of PD development after diagnosis.
