In vasculitis of small muscular arteries, activation of vessel-infiltrating CD8 T cells seems to be antigen-independent
Virchows Archiv Nov 16, 2017
Kobayashi M, et al. - An evaluation was conducted of the participation of T cells, especially innate CD8 T cells, in the development of vasculitis. The findings demonstrated that T cell-mediated immune mechanism, involving cytotoxic CD8 T cells, could be involved in the development of cutaneous vasculitis of small muscular arteries (CVSMA). Low expression of CD25 in activated CD8 T cells was indicative of the activation being antigen-independent.
