In chronic spontaneous urticaria, IgE against staphylococcal enterotoxins is common and functional

Altrichter S, et al. - In this study, researchers evaluated the prevalence and functional relevance of IgE to Staphylococcus aureus enterotoxins (SEs) in chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU). They observed that in a subpopulation of patients, IgE against SEs may contribute to the pathogenesis of CSU and further analysis of its role and relevance in the pathophysiology of CSU is warranted.
