Impact of remplissage on global shoulder outcome: A long-term comparative study
Arthroscopy Apr 18, 2019
Bastard C, et al. - Investigators quantified 79 individuals to delineate the global function of subjects treated by arthroscopic shoulder stabilization with or without remplissage at a minimum of 10 years of follow-up for a mean duration of 128 months. They noted progress in the Rowe score from 54.3 (range, 25-65) to 83.8 (range, 70-100), and the Walch-Duplay score rose from 46.8 (range, 25-75) to 85.6 (range 70-100). They recorded 28 patients underwent arthroscopic Bankart repair plus remplissage with the mean Instability Severity Index Score of 1.8 (range, 1-4). They reported Bankart repair combined with remplissage an efficient method to rehabilitate the joint stability in subjects with recurrent anterior shoulder dislocation with correlated Hill-Sachs lesion at a minimum of 10 years of follow-up.
