Kalil RS, et al. – Researchers here expected to detect the impact of hyperuricemia on long–term outcomes of kidney transplantation. There was no independent association between uric acid concentrations and cardiovascular (CV) events, mortality, or transplant failure, following kidney transplantation. Moreover, it seemed to be explained by the strong association between uric acid concentrations with traditional risk factors and estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR).
