Naganuma T, et al. - This current investigation was carried out to determine the influence of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and potential pharmacologic intervention on clinical outcomes after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) for chronic total occlusions (CTO). Researchers concluded that in patients undergoing CTO-PCI, the presence of CKD would be an important predictor of long-term clinical outcomes. Also, use of statin could influence in attenuating the adverse clinical outcomes.
