Impact of beta-blockade on cardiac events in patients with chronic severe nonischemic mitral regurgitation

Supino PG, et al. - This study assessed patients with initially asymptomatic chronic severe nonischemic mitral valve regurgitation (MR) for cardiac events in association with beta-blockade. In this patient population, it appeared that an increased risk of sudden cardiac death or indications for mitral valve surgery (MVS) were conferred by beta-blockade.
