Woythal N, et al. - The association of intraprostatic ⁶⁸Ga-labeled prostate-specific membrane antigen (⁶⁸Ga-PSMA) PET/CT findings and PSMA expression was evaluated by the authors in the immunohistochemical staining. In addition, they aimed to generate a cutoff value for differentiation between normal prostate (PN) and prostate cancer (PCA). A significant association was noted between SUV_max on ⁶⁸Ga-PSMA PET/CT and PSMA expression in primary PCA. This, in turn, enabled the detection of PCA with a high sensitivity and specificity.
