Immunogenicity and safety of measles-mumps-rubella vaccine delivered by disposable-syringe jet injector in India: A randomized, parallel group, non-inferiority trial

Vaccine Feb 28, 2018

Bavdekar A, et al. - Researchers examined the immunogenicity and safety of measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine delivered by a disposable-syringe jet injector (DSJI) in toddlers in India, relative to the conventional administration. They found that MMR vaccination via DSJI was as immunogenic as vaccination by needle-syringe (N-S). Except for injection site reactions which were more with DSJI and were well-tolerated, DSJI method demonstrated safety profile similar to N-S.
