Image-guided percutaneous renal cryoablation: Five years experience, results and follow-up

Azevedo AAP, et al. - The authors performed this study to describe the experience with image-guided renal nodules percutaneous cryoablation, evaluating demographic and technical aspects along with efficacy, safety and follow up. For treatment of small renal tumors in a wide subset of patients, percutaneous cryoablation (PRCA) was a solid alternative to traditional surgical therapies. With the minimal risk of major complications, medium-term evidence indicated excellent long-term oncological results, similar to nephrectomy.
