Ding S, et al. - This study was performed to examine whether interleukin-8 (IL-8) was involved in estrogen-related receptor (ERR) α-regulated proliferation and migration of colorectal cancer (CRC) cells. The authors demonstrated that via up-regulation of IL-8, ERRα could trigger the proliferation and migration of CRC cells. Thus, for CRC treatment and drug development, targeted inhibition of ERRα/IL-8 could be a potential approach.
