Hypoandrogenism is prevalent in males with urethral stricture disease and is associated with longer strictures.

Spencer J, et al. - In a series of patients undergoing urethroplasty, the relationship of hypoandrogenism (HA) with urethral stricture disease was evaluated. Findings revealed that HA was possibly more prevalent and could be correlated with increased disease severity in men with anterior urethral strictures.
