Phillips K, et al. - The intent of this trial was to exhibit the efficacy of hydroxyurea therapy in UK children with sickle cell anaemia. Herein, the effectiveness and safety of high-dose hydroxyurea as a disease-modifying therapy was illustrated in practice. It was advocated for all children with sickle cell anaemia.
