Hydroxycloroquine blood concentration in lupus nephritis: A determinant of disease outcome?

Cunha C, et al. - This work was planned to assess a relationship between blood Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) concentration and lupus nephritis activity. Findings suggest that HCQ level monitoring could offer a new approach to identify non-adherent patients and support them appropriately. An HCQ minimum target level of at least 0.6 mg/L was proposed by authors for reducing the renal flare rate.
