Journal of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology Aug 09, 2017
Corriero R, et al. – The purpose of the study was to compare HPV vaccination rates pre– and post–Affordable Care Act (ACA) implementation among females, and investigate differences in insurance status and other sociodemographic variables. Vaccination uptake increased when comparing pre– and post–ACA waves of data. This increase in vaccination coverage could be identified with the increased preventative service coverage, which includes vaccines, required by the ACA. Future examinations may concentrate on the role insurance has on vaccination uptake, and meeting Healthy People 2020 objectives for vaccination coverage.
