High serum soluble CD40L levels previously to liver transplantation in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma are associated with mortality at one year

Lorente L, et al. - This study investigated the link between levels of circulating CD40L and its soluble form (sCD40L) and survival in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients who underwent liver transplantation (LT). Findings demonstrated an association between high serum sCD40L levels previously to LT and higher mortality at one year.
