Hidradenitis suppurativa: From pathogenesis to diagnosis and treatment

Napolitano M, et al. – This paper explored the pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment aspects of Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS). It was determined that a monoclonal antibody against tumor necrosis factor alpha was approved for treatment of moderate to severe HS. This discovery yielded a promising new option for the patients. This study focused on the main features of HS, including epidemiology, clinical aspects, pathogenesis, severity classifications, comorbidities, and currently available treatments.
