Heat shock protein 90 inhibitor enhances apoptosis by inhibiting the AKT pathway in thermal-stimulated SK-MEL-2 human melanoma cell line

Journal of Dermatological Science Feb 15, 2018

Shin MK, et al. - In hyperthermic conditions, apoptosis in a melanoma cell line treated with the heat shock protein 90 (Hsp90) inhibitor 17-Dimethylaminoethylamino-17-demethoxygeldanamycin (17-DMAG) was evaluated by the authors. Findings revealed that this Hsp90 inhibitor treatment could be of clinical value for the enhancement of apoptosis of melanoma cells in hyperthermic condition.
