Health literacy and coronary artery disease: A systematic review

de Melo Ghisi GL, et al. - This study assessed the link between health literacy (HL), health behaviors, and outcomes among CAD patients. Though the literature data is very limited, results of this analysis indicated that low HL was consistently associated with hospital readmissions, low health-related quality of life (HRQoL), higher anxiety and lower social support and hence, for these patients, strategies for mitigating the impact of low HL ought to be adopted by healthcare providers.
