Chrcanovic BR, et al. - In this systematic review, the authors aimed to combine the available data published on gingival cyst of the adult (GCA), lateral periodontal cyst (LPC) and botryoid odontogenic cyst (BOC) into a comprehensive analysis of their clinical/radiologic features. For GCA/LPC, conservative surgical approaches appeared to be enough. Compared to GCA/LPC, BOC presented a more aggressive behavior. Thus, treatment of this lesion could involve some kind of adjunctive therapy after enucleation.
